Articles on education give you an opportunity to voice your opinions and suggest ways that may improve our current learning system. Anyone who works with children or has children of their own in our public schools will tell you that our current education system needs a lot of improvement. And as a writer, you have a unique platform to initiate these improvements.

When it comes to our educational system, it isn't difficult to find problems to write about! Oftentimes, writers begin assignments by developing a problem and working out it's solution. It's unfortunate, but this stage of writing articles on education is done for you. Your only dilemma in this regard is selecting one problem out of many to write about! Just be sure that your selection clearly defines the problem, thoroughly explains why the problem exists, and then suggests what can be done about it.

As you write about problems in your articles on education, make sure that you tie them into the big picture. Because of the immense number of them, problems in our educational system have the potential of leading us off into all sorts of directions - from a lack of sufficient educational materials to tax fraud for example. While you certainly need to address issues pertinent to the problem you're writing about, try not to lose focus of what's at stake: the students.

Now you may be content with merely writing about problems in your articles on education, however your writing will have more impact if they include sound suggestions for resolving those problems. Just be prepared to defend your suggestions when and if they meet with resistance from educators, parents, administrators, or even an entire state board of education. Believe it or not - some people are quite satisfied with our present system and they just aren't open to things that may change the way they presently go about meeting their educational needs.
